Non-Fatal Shooting Defendant Denied Bail

A Baltimore man accused of attempted murder was denied bail on Feb. 8 before Baltimore City Circuit Court Judge Jeannie Hong.

William Wilson, a 27-year-old male, is charged with attempted first and second-degree murder, conspiracy to first-degree murder, first and second-degree assault, conspiracy to first and second-degree assault, reckless endangerment, use of a firearm during a violent crime, conspiracy to use a firearm during a violent crime, possession of a firearm with a felony conviction, illegal possession of a regulated firearm, possession of a firearm, conspiracy to wearing/carrying a handgun and illegal possession of ammo in connection to an incident on Sept. 15, 2021.

During a bail hearing on Tuesday, Judge Hong listened as the prosecutor informed the court that witnesses reported the victim and 27-year-old Shaquille Kittrell, the defendant’s co-dependent, got into a verbal altercation outside of a store. Wilson allegedly handed the co-defendant a black handgun, which resulted in the co-defendant firing at the victim several times.

Wilson’s defense attorney, Ronald Harris, argued that the defendant is not a threat to the public because he did not fire at anyone.

After listening to both counsels, Judge Hong denied bail.
