The case of a Baltimore man charged with first-degree murder was not called during reception court on Feb. 2 before Baltimore City Circuit Court Judge Melissa M. Phinn.
Calvin McCrea, 33, is charged with first-degree murder, use of a firearm during a violent crime, possession of a firearm with a felony conviction, and having a loaded handgun in a vehicle in connection to an incident on July 18, 2019.
In August of 2021, McCrea was rejected a plea of life suspending all but 50 years, with five years probation for first-degree murder, and 20 years, the first five years without parole for firearm use during a violent crime. The charges were set to run concurrently.
According to the Maryland Judiciary website, McCrea does not have a court hearing scheduled as of Feb. 2.
