A 35-year-old man rejected a plea offer in connection to a non-fatal shooting in May.
The defendant is charged with firearm possession with a felony conviction, reckless endangerment, discharging firearms, and illegal possession of ammo for an alleged shooting on May 5.
On Nov. 1, the prosecution offered the defendant five years without the possibility of parole for firearm possession with a felony conviction. Defense attorney Robert Ness rejected the offer on his client’s behalf.
Baltimore City Circuit Court Judge Melissa M. Phinn agreed to have the defendant return to reception court on Jan. 18, 2022, when counsel will schedule a trial date. Phinn noted that the case will not be postponed further.
