The Baltimore Police Department has charged a 41-year-old man in connection to a murder in March following his arrest earlier this month.
According to a news release, police were called to a home on the 500 block of Radnor Avenue around 1:40 a.m. on March 21 when they found 54-year-old John Werrell with multiple stab wounds. Medics arrived and took Werrell to Johns Hopkins Hospital, where he died.
During their investigation, homicide detectives learned that Werrell got into an altercation with Barnett Harper, who allegedly stabbed the victim.
Harper was arrested and charged with first-degree murder on Oct. 9. He was denied bail and is being held at the Baltimore City Central Booking Intake Facility.
