A Baltimore man, who was allegedly involved in an attempted murder, is considering a plea offer from the prosecution.
Tony Haile, 36, is charged with first-degree attempted murder, first-degree assault, reckless endangerment, possession of a firearm with felony conviction, and having a handgun on his person.
He is charged in connection to an incident on Dec. 3, 2020.
On Oct. 18, Baltimore City Circuit Court Judge Melissa M. Phinn listened as the prosecution presented a plea of 40 years suspending all but 20 years with a period of probation as well as a stay away order for first-degree attempted murder and use of a firearm in a violent crime.
Haile and his defense attorney, Roland Harris, have not yet decided on whether or not to accept the plea offer. In addition, Haile decided to waive his Hicks date, which is his right to be tried within 180 days of his first court appearance.
Haile’s trial is scheduled for March 18, 2022.
