Tyrazz Hope, who allegedly shot a man last year, rejected a plea offer on Sept. 15 during reception court before Baltimore City Circuit Court Judge Melissa M. Phinn.
Hope, 24, is charged with attempted first-degree murder, second-degree murder, first and second-degree assault, reckless endangerment, firearm use in a violent crime, discharging firearms, and having a handgun on his person.
The prosecution offered a plea of 50 years, suspending all but 25 years, with three years probation for attempted first-degree murder, and 20 years for a firearm charge to run concurrently. Defense attorney Alex Leikus rejected the plea offer on his behalf.
The four-day trial was set for Oct. 20, in the Cummings Courthouse, with Judge Jeffrey M. Geller presiding.
