The Baltimore Police Department is investigating a recent homicide.
According to a press release, officers were called to a vacant home on the 2000 block of Kennedy Avenue on July 30 around 9:15 a.m. Upon arrival, officers found the dead body of an adult man.
The next day, the Medical Examiner’s Office ruled the death a homicide.
The identity of the victim, a 36-year-old man, will be withheld until next of kin have been notified.
The age of the victim, previously given as 38, was updated on Aug. 6.
As of Monday, there have been 196 homicides in Baltimore in 2021.
