The Baltimore Police Department updated the public July 19 about a homicide that took place on the 400 block of N. Ellwood Avenue five days before.
According to a press release, the victim was 27-year-old Jose Vazquez-Cruz. He was pronounced dead at the scene on July 14 after being shot in the head.
As of Monday, there have been 189 homicides in Baltimore in 2021.
