Jury selection began before Baltimore City Circuit Court Judge Jeannie Hong in the fatal stabbing case of Donald Graham, 54.
Graham is accused of killing Michael Schuler, 33, on Sept. 25, 2025 that occurred at the 2200 block of Sidney Avenue. He is charged with first-degree murder and a charge of dangerous weapon with intent to injure.
According to court documents, the body-worn camera of a Baltimore Police Department (BPD) officer was activated at 4:30pm upon arrival at the scene. Police say Schuler had been stabbed multiple times in his side, back, and chest.
Detectives reportedly spoke with a witness who stated that Graham confessed to stabbing the victim multiple times. The witness also advised detectives that Graham supposedly stored the knife in a vacant home that he and his girlfriend sometimes occupied.
Although the defendant is homeless, detectives were allegedly able to locate multiple addresses where Graham resided. They reportedly recovered the murder weapon and the clothes that Graham was wearing at the time of the murder. When brought to the homicide division, Graham allegedly waived his Miranda rights and spoke to detectives, detailing that an altercation broke out between him and the victim, leading to Graham allegedly pulling the knife from his pocket.
A homicide detective said he met with a medical examiner who reported Schuler’s death a homicide by multiple sharp force injuries.
The trial is set to start on Oct. 19 before Judge Hong.
