Kenneth Holman, 45, appeared before Baltimore City Circuit Court Judge Melissa K. Copeland on July 9 for a pre-trial conference.
Holman is charged with attempted murder, assault, and one weapon offense in connection to a stabbing incident at a birthday party in McElderry Park earlier this year.
Court documents state Holman stabbed a man following a verbal argument over a controlled substance. The men had reportedly been attending a birthday party on the 600 block of N. Montford Avenue. Following the physical confrontation, authorities say Holman fled the scene.
The victim suffered a severe laceration to his left hand that damaged multiple tendons and nerves. He also sustained numerous lacerations to his left side, including a puncture wound near a major artery beneath his left arm. According to charging documents, the victim underwent several hours of surgery for his hand, and received multiple stitches for his remaining wounds.
A pre-trial hearing is scheduled for July 13.
The case is ongoing.
