South Baltimore Shooting Leaves Man in Critical Condition

The Baltimore Police Department (BPD) is investigating a shooting in the Southern District.

On July 4, at approximately 3:14 a.m., Southern District patrol officers responded to the 500 block of Freeman Street to investigate a reported discharging.

Once there, officers located an unidentified man suffering from apparent life-threatening gunshot wounds.

Medics responded to the location and transported the victim to an area hospital for treatment.

Due to the victim’s condition, homicide detectives have been notified.
