45-Year-Old Man Charged With Murder in Fatal Park Heights Avenue Shooting

In reference to a homicide that occurred June 20 in Northwest Baltimore, police have arrested 45-year-old Lamont Bates.

Bates was wanted in connection to the fatal shooting of 24-year-old Xavier Williams, which occurred shortly after midnight at a business on the 5400 block of Park Heights Avenue.

On June 23, at approximately 1:40 a.m., Northwest District patrol officers arrested Bates while he was attempting to rob a business on the 4600 block of Liberty Heights Avenue.

Bates was transported to the Central Booking & Intake Facility, where he was charged with first- and second-degree murder and related handgun violations.
