Man Shot Overnight on East Eager Street, Police Investigating

The Baltimore Police Department (BPD) announced a shooting investigation in the Central District.

On April 19, at approximately 11:52 p.m., Central District patrol officers responded to a report of gunfire on the 1600 block of E. Eager Street. Upon arrival, they discovered a crime scene but found no victims.

Minutes later, at approximately 12:48 a.m., a 28-year-old man was found suffering from a gunshot wound on the 6800 block of Belair Road. Medics arrived and transported the victim to an area hospital for treatment.

Preliminary investigation revealed that the victim had been shot on the 1600 block of E. Eager Street, where officers had located the crime scene.

After being shot, the victim boarded a bus to the 6800 block of Belair Road, where a bus driver notified the police.
