The Baltimore Police Department (BPD) announced a homicide investigation in the Southwest District.
On March 19, at approximately 9:39 p.m., Southwest District officers were patrolling on the 2600 block of Wilkens Avenue when they observed a 50-year-old man lying on the ground, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.
Shortly after medics were called to the scene, the victim was transported to an area hospital. Medical personnel later pronounced him deceased.
