Man Shot Critically on Appleton Street Near Midnight

The Baltimore Police Department (BPD) announced a shooting investigation in the Western District.

On Dec. 18, at approximately 12:01 a.m., Western District patrol officers responded to the 700 block of Appleton Street for a report of a shooting.

Upon arrival, officers located a 45-year-old male suffering from an apparent life-threatening gunshot wound. The victim was transported to an area hospital, where he is listed in critical condition.

Homicide detectives were notified due to the victim’s condition.
