2 More Victims Named in String of Violent Crimes Over Previous Weekend

The Baltimore Police Department (BPD) announced updates in two homicides that occurred during a string of violent crimes over the previous weekend.

Chloe Weems, a 29-year-old Black woman, was killed during a double shooting that occurred Nov. 24 in West Baltimore. Police responded to the 900 block of Poplar Grove Street shortly before 11 p.m. and pronounced Weems deceased on the scene.

A 31-year-old man was also critically injured in the shooting, but was listed in stable condition at the time.

Earlier that morning, Antwan Burston, a 48-year-old Black man, was pronounced deceased after Northeast District officers responded to a well-being check at a residence on the 4900 block of Crenshaw Avenue.

Burston was found with apparent trauma to his upper body.

Homicide detectives are investigating both cases.
