Homicide Detectives Investigate After Rueckert Avenue Victim Dies at Hospital

The Baltimore Police Department (BPD) announced that a Northeast District shooting investigation has been upgraded to a homicide.

On Nov. 11, at approximately 1:31 p.m., officers responded to the 2900 block of Rueckert Avenue to investigate a reported shooting.

Upon arrival, officers located a 20-year-old male victim suffering from an apparent gunshot wound to the upper body. The victim was transported to an area hospital and listed in critical condition.

Northeast District shooting detectives initially responded to the scene and assumed control of the investigation.

Despite medical efforts, the victim was pronounced deceased by hospital staff.

Homicide detectives later assumed control of the investigation.
