Police Rule West Baltimore Shooting Justified

The Baltimore Police Department (BPD) announced an update regarding the shooting that occurred Sept. 8 on the 1300 block of N. Stockton Street.

The West Baltimore shooting has been ruled as justified and removed from the yearly non-fatal shooting count.

On Sept. 8, 2025, at approximately 5:06 p.m., officers responded to the 1300 block of N. Stockton Street to investigate a ShotSpotter alert.

Upon arrival, officers located a 22-year-old male victim suffering from an apparent gunshot wound to the thigh. The victim was transported to an area hospital and was listed in stable condition.

Western District shooting detectives responded to the scene and assumed control of the investigation.
