Man Killed in Downtown Hit-And-Run

The Baltimore Police Department (BPD) announced a fatal pedestrian-involved hit-and-run incident in the Central District.

On Aug. 14, at approximately 12:15 a.m., patrol officers responded to a report of a hit-and-run involving a pedestrian at the intersection of N. President Street and E. Baltimore Street.

Upon arrival, officers found an unidentified adult male suffering from severe, life-threatening injuries. Medics arrived and transported the victim to an area hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries.

Preliminary investigations indicate that the victim was attempting to cross the intersection when he was struck by a vehicle that subsequently fled the scene.

Crash Team detectives are investigating this incident.
