The Baltimore Police Department (BPD) announced a fatal crash investigation in the Western District.
On Jul 28, 2025, at approximately 1:22 a.m., officers responded to the 800 block of North Carey Street for a reported crash.
Upon arrival, officers located a 26-year-old male passenger entrapped inside the vehicle. The fire department extracted the passenger from the vehicle.
The driver of the vehicle fled the location on foot. The vehicle was not reported stolen.
The passenger was transported to an area hospital and was pronounced deceased by hospital staff.
The Accident Investigation Unit (AIU) was notified and responded to the scene.
