Police Investigate Shootings in Southeast, Northwest Baltimore

The Baltimore Police Department (BPD) announced two separate shooting investigations on July 11.

At approximately 2:41 p.m. in the Southeast District, officers responded to the 6200 block of Shipview Way following a report of gunfire.

Upon arrival, they located a 27-year-old male with gunshot wounds. The victim was transported by medics to a local hospital for treatment.

Due to the severity of the injuries, a homicide detective was called to the scene.

At approximately 10:42 a.m. in the Northwest District, officers were dispatched to a local hospital for a report of a 23-year-old male seeking treatment for a gunshot wound to his leg.

Preliminary investigations suggest the shooting took place in the 3600 block of Fallstaff Road. Northwest District detectives are leading the investigation.

Both incidents are under active investigation, and detectives are seeking information from the public to aid in their inquiries.
