The Baltimore Police Department (BPD) announced a shooting investigation in the Western District.

On July 10, at approximately 11:16 a.m., officers responded to the 1300 block of W. North Avenue following a ShotSpotter alert. Officers arrived on the scene and found evidence of a crime scene, but no victim was present.

Shortly thereafter, officers received a report of a walk-in shooting victim seeking treatment at a local hospital. At the hospital, officers observed a 45-year-old male being treated for gunshot wounds, which were determined to be non-life-threatening.

Western District shooting detectives are investigating the incident.
