The Baltimore Police Department (BPD) announced a homicide investigation in the Southwest District.
On June 2, at approximately 8:54 p.m., Southwest District officers were notified of a shooting victim seeking treatment at an area hospital.
Once at the hospital, officers observed Derek Parker, 34, suffering from gunshot wounds. Despite lifesaving efforts, Parker was pronounced deceased.
At this time, the location of the incident is unknown.
Homicide detectives have assumed control over the investigation.
