The Baltimore Police Department (BPD) announced a homicide investigation in the Northeast District.
On June 1, at approximately 2:04 a.m., officers received a call for an armed person in the 3000 block of Westfield Avenue. Officers arrived on the scene and located evidence of a crime scene.
A short time later, officers were notified of a cutting victim seeking treatment at an area hospital. Despite efforts by medical personnel, the victim, a 26-year-old male, was pronounced deceased.
Preliminary information revealed that there was a physical altercation in the 3000 block of Westfield Avenue, where the victim was stabbed. The victim was then driven to an area hospital.
Homicide detectives are investigating this incident.
