Baltimore City Circuit Court Judge Lawrence R. Daniels dismissed the case against 49-year-old Jermaine Jones on April 21 after the prosecution was unable to locate a crucial witness.
Jones faced eight counts including first and second-assault, firearm use in felony/violent crime, handgun on person, illegal possession of ammunition and reckless endangerment.
The charges were related to a non-fatal shooting at an auto repair shop located on the 5200 block of Eleanora Avenue. Jones is alleged to have fired a gun damaging the shop entrance.
The same charges against Jones were dismissed earlier this year for the same reason–the prosecution’s inability to produce a key witness.
No further dates were scheduled in the case.
