Attempted murder defendant Daquan McCray, 28, received a pretrial date on Feb. 5. Baltimore City Circuit Court Judge Melissa K. Copeland presided over the hearing.

McCray faces 23 charges in connection to a crime that occurred Nov. 19, 2024.

The charges include three counts each of attempted first- and second-degree murder, first-degree assault and firearm use in a felony violent crime, as well as various related conspiracy and firearm charges.

Judge Copeland strongly encouraged McCray, who does not currently have defense counsel, to hire an attorney.

McCray will reappear in court April 1 for a pretrial hearing before Judge Copeland.
