A 45-year-old defendant’s sentencing for the killing of his stepdaughter’s boyfriend was postponed Oct. 11. His sentence will be delayed until February before Baltimore City Circuit Court Judge Jennifer B. Schiffer.

Keith Anderson, 45, was found guilty of first-degree murder, firearm use in a felony violent crime and firearm possession with a felony conviction for the killing of 29-year-old Markeecee Jordan at a BP gas station on the 1900 block of Belair Road.

According to previous coverage, Jordan dated Anderson’s stepdaughter for about a month before the incident. The prosecution presented that Anderson wanted to kill Jordan because Anderson believed Jordan was having a sexual relationship with his partner and stepdaughter. Anderson called Jordan to threaten him, saying he would end up like his dead father.

Attorney Michael Cooper will represent Anderson at his trial on Feb. 18, 2025.
