ShotSpotter Alerts Officers to Fatal Shooting

On Aug. 22, at approximately 12:21 a.m., Eastern District patrol officers responded to the 1900 block of East North Avenue, for a report of a ShotSpotter alert.

Once there, Baltimore Police Department officers located 46-year-old Ronald Caroll suffering from apparent gunshot wounds.

Medics responded to the location and transported the victim to an area hospital where he later died.
