Northern District Police Make Arrest in May Murder

In reference to the homicide that occurred in the Northern District on May 5, Baltimore Police Department investigators have arrested 20-year-old Davonte Hamlett of Baltimore.

Investigators learned that Hamlett fatally shot and killed 25-year-old ​Sherman Anderson and injured a 26-year-old male on the 3300 block of Reisterstown Road.

Through the course of the investigation, detectives were able to identify Devonte Hamlett as the shooter and obtain a warrant for his arrest on June 6. 

On Aug. 6, Warrant Apprehension detectives arrested and transported Devonte Hamlett to the Central Booking Intake Facility, where he was charged with murder in the first degree.
