59-Year-Old Man in Critical Condition After Being Shot on Whitmore Avenue

The Baltimore Police Department is investigating a fatal shooting in the early evening hours on March 2. 

According to a news release, officers were called to the 2500 block of Edmondson Avenue at approximately 5:45 p.m. for a shot spotter alert. Moments later, officers were called to an area hospital for reports of a walk-in shooting victim, where they found a 59-year-old man suffering from gunshot wounds. 

The victim is in critical condition, said police. Detectives learned this incident occurred on the 600 block of Whitmore Avenue. 

Western District shooting detectives are investigating this incident and are asking anyone with information to call (410) 396-2477 or call Metro Crime Stoppers at 1-866-7lockup.
