The Baltimore Police Department (BPD) announced a fatal crash investigation in the Southeast District.
On Dec. 11, at approximately 10:52 p.m., Southeast District officers responded to the 5800 block of Erdman Avenue for a reported single-vehicle crash.
Upon arrival, officers located a 1999 Ford van that had crashed and was resting in the eastbound lanes of Erdman Avenue. The driver, a 57-year-old male, was removed from the vehicle and transported to Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center, where he was pronounced deceased a short time later.
Members of the BPD Crash Team responded to the scene and assumed control of the investigation. Investigators are currently working to notify the deceased’s next of kin.
