The Baltimore Police Department is investigating a shooting in the evening of July 22.
According to a news release, officers were called to the 1600 block of Montpelier Street around 7:29 p.m. for a shot spotter alert, where 52-year-old Tony Dewitt was found suffering from gunshot wounds.
Baltimore City medics responded and pronounced the victim deceased at the scene.
Homicide detectives responded and have assumed control of the investigation.
