The Baltimore Police Department is investigating a homicide shooting in the early morning hours on Jan. 24.
According to a news release, officers were called to the 3900 block of White Avenue at approximately 2:18 a.m. for reports of shots being fired, where they found 51-year-old Cheryl McCormack suffering from a gunshot wound.
The medics pronounced the victim dead at the scene.
Detectives have learned this shooting stemmed from a robbery gone bad, police said.
