The Baltimore Police Department is investigating a homicide in the early morning of July 23.
According to a news release, officers were called to the Crown gas station on the 4100 block of Frederick Avenue around 12:32 a.m. for a disorderly call, where 47-year-old Daniel Covington Jr. was found shot in the head.
Medics responded and pronounced the victim deceased at the scene.
Homicide detectives were summoned and they assumed control of the investigation.
