The Baltimore Police Department is investigating a shot spotter alert in the evening on May 2.
According to a news release, officers were called to the 700 block of Baker Street around 8:25 p.m. for a shot spotter alert, where they found no evidence of shots fired. While on the scene, officers were called to an area hospital for a walk-in shooting victim seeking treatment, where they found a 46-year-old man suffering from a gunshot to the stomach.
The victim told the officers that he had been shot at Gilmore and Baker Street.
Western District shooting detectives are investigating this incident and are asking anyone with information to call 410-396-2477.
