44-Year-Old Man Shot on Eastern Avenue

The Baltimore Police Department is investigating a fatal shooting in the early morning hours on Jan. 24. 

According to a news release, officers were called to the 1700 block of Eastern Avenue at approximately 12:06 a.m. for reports of shots being fired, where they found 44-year-old Chesley Patterson suffering from a gunshot wound. 

The medics took the victim to John Hopkins hospital, where he later died. 

Homicide detectives are investigating this incident, police said.
