The Baltimore Police Department is investigating a shooting in the afternoon of July 26.
According to a news release, officers were called to an area hospital around 4:34 p.m. for reports of a shooting walk-in victim seeking treatment, where a 34-year-old man was found suffering from a non-life threatening gunshot to his left thigh.
Central District shooting detectives responded out and have assumed control of the investigation.
A preliminary investigation revealed the victim was standing in an alley in the 800 block of Harlem Avenue speaking to his friends. At that time, suspects approached and opened fire on the victim. The victim was struck as he fled the scene.
Detectives have not identified the suspects nor have they determined a motive.
