33-Year-Old Man Shot on South Monastery Avenue

The Baltimore Police Department is investigating a fatal shooting in the early morning hours on Feb. 27. 

According to a news release, patrol officers were called to the 200 block of South Monastery Avenue at approximately 1:09 a.m. for reports of shots being fired, where they found a 33-year-old man suffering from gunshot wounds. 

The victim was taken to University of Maryland Shock Trauma Center, where he was pronounced dead by medical personnel. 

Homicide detectives responded to the scene and assumed control over the investigation. Anyone with information is urged to contact investigators, at 410-396-2100.
