The Independent Investigations Division (IID) of the Maryland Office of the Attorney General announced the sentencing of Corey Sabb, Dewayne Sanders, and Allen Hill for their involvement in a series of armed robberies across Baltimore County, Baltimore City, and Howard County from November 2023 through January 2024.
The group was responsible for at least 45 incidents, including 22 commercial armed robberies, eight robberies of pizza delivery drivers and civilians, and eight stolen vehicles. At least 60 citizens of Baltimore and the surrounding area fell victim to the group. The dozens of victims in this case were mostly wage-working employees and delivery drivers of local restaurants and convenience store chains throughout the area.
On Jan. 15, Sabb, Sanders, and Hill entered guilty pleas for their roles in the organization. Sabb and Sanders pleaded guilty to participation in a criminal organization, robbery with a dangerous weapon, and use of a firearm in a crime of violence. Hill pleaded guilty to participation in a criminal organization and robbery with a dangerous weapon.
On April 22, Sabb and Sanders were sentenced to 40 years, with all but 20 years suspended, followed by five years of supervised probation. Hill was sentenced to 30 years, suspending all but six, followed by five years of supervised probation.
The state emphasized the violent nature of the robberies and the impact on the victims, advocating for a sentence that reflected justice for those affected. The court heard from several victims about the impact of the crimes on their lives.
Attorney General Brown expressed gratitude to his criminal division, law enforcement officials, and state attorneys for their roles in the investigation and prosecution of the case.
