The Baltimore Police Department is investigating a homicide in the late hours on Jan. 17.
According to a news release, officers were called to 4900 block North Franklintown Road at approximately 11:34 p.m. for reports of shots being fired, where they found 23-year-old Darron McCoy Jr. suffering from a gunshot wound.
Medics took the victim to the hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.
