Officers from the Baltimore Police Department arrested 22-year-old Christopher Tyson on April 24 for the murder of two women in late March.
The first murder occurred on March 22 when a family member found Denita Barrett, 21, unresponsive in her home, according to a press release, where she was later pronounced dead.
Less than a week later on March 28, another woman, 37-year-old Ashley Lambert, was found dead at a motel in the 6400 block of Pulaski Highway.
The press release states Tyson was listed as a suspect by homicide investigators and confessed to both murders. At this time, Tyson has only been charged with Barrett’s murder.
Police are not ruling Tyson out as a suspect in other assaults and ask anyone with information to call department’s Homicide Section at 410-396-2100. Those who submit tips to Metro Crime Stoppers may also be eligible for a reward should it lead to the suspect’s arrest or indictment.
