A 20-year-old man was arrested and charged earlier this week for an attempted murder nearly three weeks ago.
The Baltimore Police Department arrested Keyontae Everett on Sept. 29 in connection to a shooting around 9:35 p.m. on Sept. 11 on the 3400 block of E. Lombard Street. Police previously reported that officers who responded to the scene found evidence of a shooting and searched the area for potential victims and witnesses.
It wasn’t until later when police learned that a 37-year-old man walked into a hospital with a gunshot wound to his elbow.
Following their investigation, police identified Everett and obtained an arrest warrant. The Baltimore resident is charged with attempted first and second-degree murder, firearm use in a violent crime, first and second-degree assault, having a handgun on his person, having a loaded handgun on his person, reckless endangerment, possession of a firearm as a minor, and discharging a firearm.
Everett is scheduled for a preliminary hearing on Oct. 26 in Baltimore City District Court.
