20-Year-Old Man Arrested in Connection to Fells Point and Downtown Baltimore Shootings

The Baltimore Police Department (BPD) announced the arrest of Davon Matthews, 20, in connection to two non-fatal shooting incidents that occurred in the Central District — one that occurred mid-July in Fells Point, and another that occurred mid-September in downtown Baltimore.

On July 12, a 24-year-old man was shot and injured on the 400 block of S. Broadway in Fells Point. Two months later, on Sept. 14, an 18-year-old man was shot on the 300 block of Light Street in downtown Baltimore.

Matthews was arrested Dec. 8, on the 2200 block of Westwood Avenue. Investigators transported him to the Central Booking & Intake Facility, where he was charged with attempted first-degree murder and first-degree assault.
