17-Year-Old Shot Mid-Afternoon on Montpelier Street

The Baltimore Police Department (BPD) announced an investigation into a shooting incident in the Eastern District.

On Dec. 5, at approximately 3:20 p.m., officers responded to the 1700 block of Montpelier Street following a ShotSpotter alert.

Upon arrival, officers found a 17-year-old boy with an apparent gunshot wound to his hand. The victim was transported to an area hospital and is in stable condition.

Eastern District shooting detectives have taken control of the investigation.
