The Baltimore Police Department reported July 8 that a 16-year-old boy was arrested for a non-fatal shooting that occurred almost a month ago.
According to a press release, detectives arrested the suspect without incident on July 6 on the 2700 block of Erdman Avenue at around 9 a.m.
During his arrest, the suspect was found to be in possession of a loaded handgun. The weapon was seized and submitted as evidence.
He is charged with attempted first-degree murder, along with separate handgun violations.
The suspect allegedly shot a 23-year-old woman at 3200 Lake Avenue on June 13. After officers responded to the scene, the victim was taken to a local hospital, where she was listed in serious but stable condition.
Police said Northeast District detectives investigated the incident, identified the suspect, and obtained an arrest warrant.
He is being held without bail in central booking.
