15-Year-Old Girl in Surgery Following Shooting on E. 43rd Street

On Feb. 15, at approximately 6:13 p.m., a Northern District officer for the Baltimore Police Department (BPD) was flagged down by someone in the Govans area of North Baltimore. The person advised the officer that there was an armed person at a nearby school.

Moments later, a call for a shooting was dispatched.  Officers canvassed the area and located a 15-year-old female who was suffering from a gunshot wound on the 800 block of E. 43rd Street.

Medics arrived on the scene, rendered aid to the victim, and transported her to an area hospital where she is currently undergoing surgery.

Northern District Shooting detectives have assumed control over the investigation and are asking anyone with information to call 410-396-2455.
