Homicide defendant Brandon Fullard, 41, received a Sept. 15 jury trial date before Baltimore City Circuit Court Judge Melissa K. Copeland on April 21. Defense attorney Derrick Hamlin is set to represent Fullard during the four-day trial, during which 15 witnesses are expected to testify.
Fullard faces charges of second-degree murder, firearm use in a violent crime, and related firearm violations.
According to charging documents, on the afternoon of Nov. 12, 2023, officers responded to the Carroll Fuel Gas Station located at the 3300 block of Garrison Boulevard regarding a shooting incident. Brian Richardson, 31, was pronounced deceased the following day.
Officers recovered surveillance footage that showed a person said to be Richardson exiting the passenger side of a BMW and approaching a 2016 Toyota Camry. As Richardson approached, a suspect fired a single gunshot from inside the Camry, wounding Richardson. No firearms were recovered.
The Camry was later linked to Fullard, who was allegedly renting it. Cellphone records and GPS data were consistent with Fullard’s presence at the incident location.
A judge has not yet been assigned to the case.
