The Baltimore Police Department (BPD) announced the arrest of two individuals in connection to an aggravated assault that occurred Aug. 9 in the Southeast District.
Investigators have arrested Baltimore residents Winston Rivero-Aliendo, 23, and Wilson Rivero-Aliendo, 27.
The suspects were involved in an incident where they knocked a 20-year-old male off his moped in the 2500 block of Eastern Avenue and subsequently assaulted and stabbed him.
The victim was transported to an area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
With assistance from Foxtrot, Southeast District patrol officers and District Action Team officers located both suspects in the 3400 block of Pulaski Highway and arrested them shortly after the assault occurred.
Both suspects were taken to the Central Booking & Intake Facility, where they were charged with attempted first- and second-degree murder, as well as multiple counts of assault. A third male was also arrested on unrelated charges at the scene.
Investigators believe this assault stemmed from an incident involving a stolen moped.
