1 Dead, 4 Injured in Belair-Edison Mass Shooting

The Baltimore Police Department (BPD) announced a homicide investigation into a mass shooting that occurred in East Baltimore.

On Dec. 15, at approximately 10:53 p.m., an Eastern District patrol officer was near Belair Road at Mayfield Avenue when he heard gunshots. He immediately responded to the area and located two adult men, ages 24 and 20, suffering from non-life-threatening gunshot wounds.

He officer also located a 54-year-old woman with gunshot wounds, who was pronounced deceased at the scene.

While officers were on the scene, two additional adult men, ages 25 and 31, walked into an area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Homicide detectives responded and have assumed control of the investigation.
