1 Dead, 1 Injured After Overnight Shooting in Cherry Hill

The Baltimore Police Department (BPD) announced a homicide investigation in the Southern District.

On May 30, at approximately 3:40 a.m., officers responded to the 2900 block of Spelman Road to investigate a reported shooting.

Upon arrival, officers located two victims suffering from gunshot wounds.

Tyriel Simms, 21, was pronounced deceased on the scene by medics. The second victim, a 21-year-old man, was transported to an area hospital and is expected to survive his injuries.

Homicide detectives responded to the scene and have assumed control of the investigation.
